Groundtrax Systems Ltd is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of ground reinforcement products. Our extensive range of products means we can always provide the optimum solution – from pedestrian access through to roads, car parks and storage areas capable of taking the heaviest vehicle loads. Our products are widely specified on large contracts across the country. We hold large stocks for immediate delivery to site. Contact us now and see how we can help you with your next project.
Groundtrax Systems Ltd started out by offering temporary trackway for events and construction projects, but the business has evolved over the last five years to become one of the largest providers of ground reinforcement and protection products in the UK. While we still sell trackway products, we have also developed our own range of specialist ground protection products as well as being main distributors for other companies including Terram and Rola-Trac.
We will always recommend the most appropriate solution based on existing ground conditions, loading requirements, planning restrictions and budget. We can offer advice at the earliest stages of a project and all products are available directly from ourselves or through all the leading builders merchants. Smaller quantities can also be ordered directly from our own online store at www.contractorsyard.com.
Groundtrax also supply all the specialist geosynthetic products needed for the installation including geotextiles, geogrids and geocells.
Overflow or additional car parking is one of our major sectors and as well as traditional cellular grid pavers like CellPave 40 and Bodpave 85, we have an exclusive product CellPave AP which is a very cost effective no-dig product that is easily installed with just a vibratory roller. While originally developed for reinforcing grass airfields, it is now widely used by councils and private companies for providing extensive parking areas on existing grass areas. We estimate that our system doubles the capacity of the existing ground and it can greatly extend the parking season throughout the year.
To cater for the heaviest loading requirements, we developed CellPave HD – a high quality heavy weight paver with some clever design features. They are particularly suitable for incorporation into a SUDS compliant system and may even negate the need for costly water attenuation when installed on a suitable porous substrate. CellPave HD is now installed on many prestigious projects including the new Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate.
Nigel Puliing, Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society commented:
“We needed some sustainable and flexible parking as part of the building of a new larger Exhibition Hall at the Great Yorkshire Showground. A bigger exhibition hall obviously means more vehicles of all shapes and sizes. We wanted vehicle parking that looked attractive when not in use, as well as being able to cope with HGV vehicles. In addition, the surface needed to be sustainable, cost effective and be able to have marquees erected on them when required! After researching all the various options, we selected CellPave HD and after a smooth installation process we are delighted with the way the car park is operating and it has been very well received by our customers.”
Mark Smith, MD of the HACS Group who installed the product at the showground also commented:
“We have now installed CellPave HD on many high-profile schemes and it is our product of choice when a hard-wearing permeable parking area is needed on our client’s sites. It is easy to install by our own site teams and has been very well received by our customers.”
All our main products are proudly made in the UK (Our other specialist products are brought in from Europe only). All our products are made from recycled materials and are in turn fully recyclable. We hold extensive stocks for immediate delivery to site all at extremely competitive prices.
