Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS)

The grass reinforcement paver grids have a very open cell structure allowing unrestricted healthy grass root growth and water infiltration and can be used as part of a sustainable urban drainage system (SUDS). The paver grids also incorporate 25mm ‘ground-spikes’ on the base which fix through the adjacent paving grid’s edge-loops to provide the entire structure with firm anchorage and structural integrity and making them easy to install at rates of up to 100m² per hour. CellPave EP40 grass pavers should be installed onto a firm level sub-base (typically a DoT Type 3 or porous sub-base). The thickness of this base is dependant on the existing ground conditions and the design load specifications. Please contact our technical team for further details.

With many successful project installations, CellPave EP40 is a SuDS compliant porous plastic paving grid system for ground reinforcement which can be installed with a grass or gravel filled surface.

Features and Benefits

  • A built-in anti-migration cell bottom lattice, specially designed to prevent downwards soil movement through vibration & vehicle traffic.
  • Anti-soil movement ribs, to reduce soil migrating up & away even on sloped surfaces.
  • Cell wall topped anti-slip nodules, giving added vehicle wheel grip & importantly pedestrian grip for shoes on the top surface.
  • Each grid side has v-force male to female fixings to create a strong attachment for every grid to grid connection.
  • The 7×7 rows of grid cells is the proven perfect grid formation in our opinion for ground reinforcement to be the most effective. To encase & compact the chosen infill soil / material.
  • Infill with an angular gravel for maximum load bearing capacity within the range 5mm to 20mm.
  • 95% permeable & complies with SuDS. Regulations (sustainable urban drainage regulations).
  • Compression tested to 325 tonnes/m² on gravel filled load test rating.Suitable for domestic & industrial use & application.Complies with the flood & water management act 2010.
  • UV stable recycled injection moulded plastic.
